If we want to reform our society, then we must invest in children, for they are the “Operating System” of society
January 31, 2011
We all have lot of aspirations about our society, our country & the world as a whole, We see lot of problems to be solved in society, I can assure you that the best way to fix problems of society is to start from children i.e to ensure that no child becomes prisoner of ecosystem when he/she grows up. Giving all children decent access to education, food, healthcare, etc can fix lots of social problems in our society
Its unfair to make children to carry heavy books
January 26, 2011
Do we really need those heavy books to educate children competitively in today’s high-tech world ?
Can we use Internet instead so those children could breath easy ?
Can we refine our education system so that children are freed from such physical burden ?
Please remember that, “Carrying heavy books” & that child’s “achievement in later part of life” are not at all related
Aim of Educating Children
January 26, 2011
1) To prepare student for future “global workforce”
2) to teach moral values & noble principles of life
so they can practice it for rest of their life
3) To train children to be focussed (on studies) so when they grow up
they could keep themselves focussed on their work
4) To train students to be globally competitive when they grow up
& much more !
Schools ‘should train young entrepreneurs’ !
January 25, 2011
from http://www.news.com.au/business/business-owner/schools-should-train-young-entrepreneurs/story-e6frfm5i-1225994228228
COUNCIL of Small Business of Australia executive director Peter Strong said more programs must be put in place for students who show entrepreneurial skills.
“The 18 to 25-year-old group of entrepreneurs is growing,” he said.
“Not everyone wants to run their own business but there’s limited support for individuals who do. The school system should be working with these individuals, providing them with opportunity and setting up pathways.”
He said between 8 and 10 per cent of high school students in Year 12 showed the behavioural traits shared with entrepreneurs.
“Examples are marketing, web and online skills and placing ads in local newspapers,” he said.
“Often they don’t have the money to make a bricks and mortar store but have the capacity and skills to start up online.
“People have the innovation and drive but require assistance to make it happen.”
the two faces of the world
January 18, 2011
The world has two faces —
1) Urban World
– where the child is informed about what’s happenings in the world
2) Rural World,
– where the child is unfortunate, undernourished & uneducated to compete globally
If we want to make world a better place to live, we have to encourage the gifted child in urban world to make the whole family better.
